The Calipari Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations. A basic requirement for receiving funding is that organizations are officially recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as public charities—and have thus been assigned 501(c)(3) exempt classification.
Additionally, the University of Kentucky Compliance Office reviews all grants approved by TCF’s board of directors prior to the distribution of funds. This review ensures that all TCF grants are in accordance with the letter and intent of University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
The foundation does not generally solicit or accept grant applications.
